What can literature bring to light that might only become apparent at second glance in an exhibition? At ‘Kunsthalle liest’, selected texts are discussed together with Hanna Kasperidus and linked to the themes of the current exhibition, INDUSTRIAL. Silk Roads 3000. In a relaxed atmosphere, there is scope for different perspectives, questions and thoughts.

The two sessions will take place on 22 October and 26 November 2026. Each session focuses on a different text and can be attended independently; you are therefore welcome to take part on one or both evenings. The relevant texts will be provided in advance following registration, so that you can start reading them before the session.

No prior knowledge is required. The texts will be discussed in German.

 

About the format

‘Kunsthalle liest’ is the Kunsthalle Dortmund’s book club. The series brings literature and contemporary art into dialogue with one another and invites participants to explore the themes of the current exhibition together.
