Every first Sunday of the month, a varied programme for the whole family takes place throughout the Dortmunder U. As part of the current exhibition INDUSTRIA: Silk Roads 3000, the Kunsthalle Dortmund is offering a programme for the whole family—

Craft activity: Map workshop. Routes, goods, wonders
Meeting point: Level 3, workshop room

Design your own trade and treasure map using stamps, pens and colours. Invent landscapes, cities and roads. Which goods (e.g. gold, toys) can be found where? How do you get from one place to the next? By train or ship, by plane or lorry? Are there any obstacles, secret paths or hidden dangers? There are no limits to your imagination!

Puzzle Book: Explore the exhibition with Leo Lok
For children who can read

Join Leo Lok as you explore the exhibition and solve exciting puzzles. What, for example, is a Hello Kitty phone? And what are pipelines? Write your name on the train ticket and set off on your journey with Leo Lok!

On the family tour of INDUSTRIAL. Silk Roads 3000, children and adults set off together on a journey along the ‘New Silk Roads’. Along the way, they discover the routes that everyday products take, how goods are transported from one place to another, and the people involved in the process. The artworks encourage visitors to look closely, ask questions and discuss our interconnected world together.
