As part of Green Culture Week 2025, the HMKV Hartware MedienKunstVerein invites you to a public guided tour of the exhibition *Holding Pattern – Waiting Loops and Other Loops* (15 March 2025 – 27 July 2025). The exhibition was first shown in 2022 at Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo. It stems from an invitation extended by its then director, Anne Hilde Neset, to the award-winning writer Tom McCarthy. In McCarthy’s works, human figures often find themselves in a kind of limbo or within loops – caught between techno-informatic systems, rituals and algorithms. ‘Holding Pattern – Warteschleifen und andere Loops’ presents an artistic exploration of the (movement) patterns and rhythms that shape our modern lives, raising questions about our relationship with technology, data and our trust in technical systems.

The public guided tour not only offers insights into the exhibition but also provides an opportunity to reflect on the connection between the artworks on display and current discussions surrounding mobility, technology and society. Participation is free of charge and no booking is required!
