HMKV Family Day on 15 May at the exhibition ‘Barbara Breitenfellner: Dream of an Exhibition’ – admission is free on International Museum Day 2011

‘Barbara Breitenfellner: Dream of an Exhibition’ is the title of the exhibition by the Hartware MedienKunstVerein at the Dortmunder U. Does that mean we’re in a dream when we visit the third floor of the Dortmunder U? Or is what we see in the exhibition art? But how can a mannequin in a gorilla costume be art?

We want to get to the bottom of this mystery. On 15 May 2011, the HMKV is hosting a Family Day. From 2 pm, children in particular are invited to discover the dreams of the artist Barbara Breitenfellner and pepper us with questions. At 3 pm, young and old alike can join an exciting family tour to discover what lies behind the strange objects on display in the exhibition, and what it all has to do with media art. At 4 pm – as every Sunday – there will be a guided tour for the general public.
